Chain Sling Selection Guide
Working Load Limit (WLL):
Specify the load weight and required lifting configuration. The complete sling assembly must have a rated WLL suitable for the intended lifting conditions.
Number of Legs:
Choose single-leg, 2-leg, 3-leg or 4-leg assemblies according to the available lifting points and load geometry.
Chain Grade and Diameter:
Select Grade 80 or Grade 100 chain in a suitable diameter based on the required WLL and applicable assembly standard.
Sling Length and Lifting Angle:
Specify the required overall length, attachment-point spacing and intended lifting angle. For multi-leg slings, the angle affects the load carried by each leg and the assembly's rated capacity.
End Fittings:
Specify the required hook type and upper connection, such as a master link. Fittings must be compatible with the chain size, connection geometry and rated capacity.
Operating Conditions:
Identify exposure to elevated temperatures, corrosive environments or chemicals so component suitability and any applicable WLL reductions can be assessed.
Chain Sling Compatibility

Component Matching:
Chain grade, diameter, connecting links, hooks and master links must be compatible in dimensions and rated capacity.

Hook Options:
Available fittings may include eye hooks, clevis hooks and self-locking hooks, subject to the actual product range.

Length and Configuration:
Specify chain length, number of legs and fitting combinations according to project requirements.

Complete Assembly WLL:
Confirm the rated capacity of the complete sling based on its components, configuration, lifting angle and applicable standards.
Applications
Machinery Installation:
Lifting and positioning machine tools, motors, pumps and production equipment.
Steel Fabrication:
Handling fabricated frames, structural steel sections and welded assemblies.
Plant Maintenance:
Removing or installing heavy components during equipment maintenance and replacement.
Warehouse and Workshop Handling:
Moving suitable industrial loads between production, storage and assembly areas.

Quality Control and Testing
Proof Load Testing:
Each chain sling is tested on a calibrated tensile testing machine when required by the applicable standard or order specification. Recorded result: Applied test load, test outcome and any visible permanent deformation after unloading, assessed against the specified acceptance criteria.
Chain and Fitting Inspection:
Chain links, connecting links, master links and hooks are visually inspected for cracks, deformation, excessive wear, corrosion and other defects. Recorded result: Inspection pass/fail status and identified nonconformities.
Dimensional Verification:
Chain diameter, link dimensions and critical fitting dimensions are checked using calibrated measuring tools against approved drawings or specified tolerances. Recorded result: Actual measurements and conformity status.
Marking and Traceability Check:
Product markings are checked against the order and applicable product requirements. Recorded result: Verification of traceable identification, chain grade, size and WLL markings where specified.
MOQ: Sample orders from 1 set.
Lead Time: 7–15 working days for standard orders; 15–30 working days for customized assemblies.
